Circumvesuviana question

What town is the last stop of the Circumvesuviana in? I always thought it was Sorrento, but if you look at the map at viamicelin, it looks like its Sant' Angello.

Thanks, Jerry

It is Sorrento. I think Sant'Angello may be right before it? Anyway, Sorrento is definitely the last stop.

That is correct. Sorrento is the final stop. if you are taking a bus from Amalfi and then a train to Pompeii, you might get off a bus at Sant'Angello instead of going all the way to Sorrento though.

So, if I'm staying in Positano and want to go to Sorrento but don't want to drive, what's my best option--boat to Amalfi and train from there to Sorrento?

JmVikmanis: The Circumvesuviana train does not go to the Amalfi coast; it runs from Naples to Sorrento, along the north side of the Sorrento peninsula. To get from Amalfi or Positano (the south side of the peninsula) to Sorrento, use bus or ferry.

Hi jerry,

There is a ferry that goes Salerno-Amalfi-Positano-Sorrento and back.
