Cinque Terre in March???

We are considering a trip to Cinque Terre and area for a week next March (15-22 or so). If you've been there in March, I'd really appreciate opinions on whether this is a good or bad time to go. We'd like to do some hiking and general touring and will have a car. Thanks.

We were there just a little later last year -- first week of April - and it was beautiful. Spent one day on the beach in Levanto and the next touring the Cinque Terre towns. The day started as light jacket weather, but by late morning, the non-stop sun made us take off the jackets. It was probably about 75 degrees, very warm for all the walking we were doing. Of course, just like everywhere else, every year brings different weather, but I wouldn't hesitate to go early in the spring again. By the way, the flowers were already lush and gorgeous in March and April.

I was in Cinque Terre in late fall and frankly, it doesn't matter the time of year - it is a magical place.

I was there in late Feb. and early March this year and the weather was beautiful. And no tourists to deal with so prices were reasonable. If you are driving, be sure to fill up on gas since many of the towns don't have any. Have fun.

we went in early may 2 years ago and stayed in vernazza which was beautiful, not too crowded and not too dead.take the upper hiking trail to the other villages rather than drive, you'll love the view, but be careful,in the event of rain the trail can become quite slippery. have fun!
