Cinqe Terre
Does anyone know of a cheap place to stay at the Cinqe Terre? I went to hostelworld.com and hostels.com but I didn't find any good locations. I would love to stay in Monterosso, but my price range is $20-$25... is this realistic?

I was there about 8 years ago,and we found a place to stay with a local at a restaurant. Don't usually do that, however, it worked great. We were actually advised by local's when we were in Venice. Many residents have rooms or apartments.

There are tons of posts on Cinque Terre so start there. I think your prices is unrealistic though.
Here is a link for monterosso.

Your best bet at that price point is probably the large hostel at the top of the hill in Manarola. If you are focused on Monterosso, you might have to try Brayden's advice. Arrive on a weekday (less busy than the weekend) and ask around about private rooms. I'm assuming by your monicker that you are a woman - use your common sense and don't go with anyone that gives you a bad vibe or doesn't seem like a local villager. In fact, these villages are so small that if you do find a prospect you could ask a local nonna for an instant referral.
