I don't use the Eurostar website and don't want to check things out, but whether people want to go one way or not doesn't seem to matter, you can buy a RT ticket if it's cheaper.

They can't round you up at gun point in Paris and force you back to the train station.

Well none of the round trips on UK site i checked was cheaper than one-ways on Raileurope, quite contrary, they were twice as expensive - each way was the same price as Raileurope one ways but you have to buy round trip so you end up paying twice as much.

thank you all for your advice. I'm staying 5 nights in london and 3 nights in paris. flying into london and out of paris. can you recommend any hotels in paris that use american express points?

DG is on the Eurostar at this moment, stuck in Lille. Major security alert and the tunnel is closed (or something, he's getting conflicting stories). Unfortunately, he used his frequent traveler points for a free ticket in second class. The train is packed, people are grumpy. He is SO wishing he'd gotten his usual first class ticket instead!!
