Cheap parking for five days in Lyon?

Hello all,

I’m wondering if anyone in the group has any experience with using cheap, long term parking in Lyon? We will be there for five nights in August and will have a car but will not use it in Lyon once we check into our Air BnB. We hope to stay in Vieux Lyon or close to Parc de la Tete d’Or. Any Air BnB’s with free parking included are further out from the center of the city than we want to be. We’re willing to take an taxi/Uber or metro back to our Air BnB after we park our car at a ramp/lot. So, anyone with recommendations for ramps/lots a bit out from the center that are cheap for leaving for five nights as well as being secure for the cars storage? All ramps/lots close in are 40-50 euros/day. TIA for any recommendations to my inquiry.

What about looking at the airport parking and travelling in from there?

You need to book online to be sure of a spot, but can do it up to 4 hours before you get there.

Yes that would likely work. Just be aware that Lyon St-Exupéry airport is a good distance from Lyon centre. Using Uber to/from there will likely set you back around 50 euros each way. You may want to look at the other airport Lyon-Bron which used to be the main airport prior to St-Exupéry being built, and it is significantly closer. Perhaps they have parking lots there too, and likely cheaper $ (less busy/demand)

If a rental, why not give it back to the rental company?

That was my thought, too. Pick up a new rental when leaving Lyon.

The car is an eleven week lease so we have it for the duration. This a rare city break for us where we won't need the car.

There is a tram from St Exupery that goes to Part Dieu called Rhonexpress. It runs all day every 15 min or so.Costs about 17 euro, cheaper roundtrip.
