Champagne
Has anyone hired a company/tour group to take them from Paris to Champaign to then take a bike tour? I know we can take the train, which we are happy to do, any suggestions for a good one day bike tour of the Champaign area? We would like to go for just the day.
Thank you

The place is called Champagne
I'd catch a train to Epernay, walk up to Tourist Info and hire bikes from them. You can either head into the Montagne de Reims, down the other side and catch a train back, or you could head west along the bottom edge of the Montagne. You can organise all this on line as well.
Champagne is really made in the winery rather than on the hill sides, so if you want to see the real independant wineries ask at TI for latest visit spots and or get them to organise a visit or two. Alternatively to all this just wander down the Avenue de Champagne and visit some of the most expensive wineries in the world.

I have not, but I don't know why you would need to hire someone to take you there from Paris when the train is so easy. That will take longer and cost you. If such a thing even exists (combining travel from Paris with a bike tour). You would have much more choices of bike tours locally.
I'd just use the Reims tourisme website, here is their list
https://www.reims-tourisme.com/en/?s=velo#
Maybe the one that is 5.5 hrs from Epernay?

There are direct trains to Epernay from Paris that only take 1:20 hrs from Gare de l'Est.
Here is a Paris company that does do bike tours and tours to Champagne region but not sure they combine the two

Looks like no, that is a fairly niche request which is why I think you'll have to get one in Reims or Epernay. Blue Fox does have bike tours in Paris and then Versailles, but not the champagne area.

Hi ch4books,
I have taken a bike tour from French Mystique Tours, and highly recommend them. This one was to Chartres, where we picked up the bikes in Paris, trained part way to Chartres, and rode about 2h the rest of the way. At the end of the day, we trained all the way back. It was delightful, and it included a charcuterie picnic at a spot on a river on the way.
However, I don't think they go to champagne. They may, though. Worth checking out.
Have fun as you plan!
