CDG to Train - time needed

We are scheduled into CDG at 7:30 a.m. and will take the train directly from CDG to Lyon at 11:57 a.m.
Seems like we should have plenty of time to make the transfer. We can do just carryon luggage, but am wondering if we'd likely have enough time to pick up a checked bag and still make our train. Believe our plane arrives in Terminal 2.
Thanks for any advice!

You have plenty of time - even with checked bags. I like 3 1/2 hrs - and you have 4 1/2 hrs.

I always check bags and I'm always completely out of CDG after a flight within about an hour, 1.5 hrs at the very most, over dozens of years.

Thanks Stu and Christina -- I thought it should be okay, but didn't want to take chances since the train tickets are not changeable.

Useful info, including maps, at http://www.parisaeroport.fr/en
As suggested, you will see that both the commuter trains and TGV trains stop in Terminal Two but that terminal has several sections. The website will help you navigate and maybe a smart phone will download maps or whatever (not being smart, I print them out.)

At that time of the morning, I'd eat at Paul's. Near the elevators.
The rest, other than the Sheraton, is mostly fast food.
