CDG to St Germaine

What is the best way for a family to get from Charles de gaulle airport to St germaine in the early morning?

Assuming you mean St-Germain -

The cheapest and fastest is the RER, changing to Métro Ligne 4 at Châtelet-Les Halles. But morning rush hour is the worst time to travel in Paris by train.

Taxi - about $70

Car service - around $50

Hi E,

>What is the best way ...

Hire a private limo.

For public transport, the cheapest way, use www.ratp.fr.

A shuttle will be about 18E pp.

A cab will be about the same, if you are not caught in traffic.

Any recommendations on car services? I am also arriving early in the morning. The last time we were in Paris, we arranged for a shuttle to take us to our hotel (there were 5 of us then). This time it will only be my husband and me.

If each person has only one small case, the RER & Metro will work fine. The fare is €8.40/person for adults and €5.90/person for children under ten.

Having fought up and down stairs and on and off trains I now agree that unless you have very minimal luggage, it's really worth the money to take a taxi.
