CDG: need to go through security again for a connecting flight in the same terminal?

We will be flying into Terminal 2A and then connecting to a flight out of 2F. Do we need to clear security again? We have an adequate amount of time, but I'm curious about the procedure.

I am sure you will have to go through security again unless you are connecting from a non-Schengen flight to another non-Schengen flight and take a shuttle bus between the terminals without leaving the customs zone. And even then, I cannot completely guarantee that you won't do through security again.

Hi U,

From my own experience of CDG, I am pretty sure that you will go through security in order to get to your flight at 2F.

Yes, you will have to go through both a passport check and security again; the whole Schengen issue has nothing to do with it. You always have to go through security again at CDG when you change terminals.

This is a fairly long trip, but I believe you can still do it on foot, which is usually faster than waiting for the shuttle at CDG. If someone can confirm that, please do.

2A is all non-Schengen, while 2F has two wings - one Schengen and one not. If you're going from non-Schengen to non-Schengen, technically you can take an air-side transit bus and won't need to clear immigration.

You'll clear security either way.

I will have a wheelchair waiting for me (I hope, being unable to reach Air France because its phone system is having difficulties--what else is new?).
