CDG - Bastille with 1 suitcase - OK?

Folks,

I am staying at a hotel close to the Place de la Bastille. I already have the transportation directions from the CDG airport (RER B - gare du Nord - metro line 6), but I am just wondering about the metro...I am going to have one suitcase with me (I am a young guy); is this going to be a problem, shlepping about the metro with the suitcase??

Thanks for all the help,
Munch

How big is the suitcase?

I think you'll find that people carrying luggage on the metro is not that unusual. As long as you can manage it okay (lifting it above turnstyles for instance), it shouldn't be a problem.

I used to do it with two small kids in tow, so I'm sure you can manage it as a young guy with one bag. Never again for me, though!

It's not Line 6.

It's Line 5, a straight shot, direction Place d'Italie.

Good city bus options from the Place de la Bastille--particularly the 69, which you can ride to the Eiffel Tower with many sights along the way including the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and Invalides. See map:

Hey folks,

Thank you for your responses. It's not a carry-on bag, so it's rather bulky.

And yes, RonZ, you're absolutely right; I made a typo. Line 5 it is!

P.S. What about taking a cab from Gare du Nord? How much money are we talking (Monday noon)?
