My info is waaaaaay outdated, but when I was there in the late 60's, there were a zillion of them. That may have changed by now...

Cats seem to be everywhere running wild in Europe. Many people dislike cats especially wild cats,I really think the problem deserves special attention.Sure the cat lovers think that its charming, but I don't think people really use their brains.Do they realize these cats suffer being strays, loaded with diseases and a shortened life.I.M.O. all dogs and cats should be leashed and not allowed to live homeless...

There are cats everywhere, lots and lots and lots of them. They all appear to be feral so practice some caution. As I posted elsewhere, I was bitten and had to get rabies shots as a result. Post-bite my method for shoooing away over friendly, or more likely over-hungry, cats was to spritz them with water.

LOL - anybody tried to put a cat on a leash? My husband tried with our cats. Ahem - they were not pleased - LOL.

I agree though that ferrel cat and dog populations are a problem. The animals go hungry, are more prone to disease, have shorter, tougher lives, and so on.

How long as Bob Barker been telling us to spay and neuter our pets? LOL.
