Catching Train from Gatwick Airport to Southampton

Could someone please tell which train I catch to get from Gatwick Airport to Southampton. I've looked at the maps and I haven't got a clue which one to take.

Thank you!

There is one train an hour from Gatwick to Southampton, or there are other connections with a change at Clapham Junction. Schedules and fares are on www.nationalrail.co.uk

I'm not quite sure the question. You simply buy your ticket to Brighton from the ticket agent, and then go to whichever platform the sign boards display (there are only 6 platforms and you really can't get lost).

thetrainline.com is an easy site to use for getting train schedules. And there is a map of the train station on the Gatwick site.

I'd take the train - they run about every 15 minutes and takes 28 to 38 minutes depending on which train you catch.

Oh crap - my answer was for LGW to Brighton - (the every 15 mins and 28 mins bit). Total brain fade

The rest of the answer applies though - just buy your ticket and go to the platform . . . .

The websites that Janis and Geoff provided will answer your question and give you schedules and fares and links to buy tickets.
