Castle Dinners
We are taking a family trip to Ireland this summer, and there are a couple of optional castle dinners on the tour itinerary. At almost $90 (USD) per person, is a $350 dinner for the four of us something we should consider?

Does this dinner include some type of entertainment as well? Also you must ask yourself how important is it to have dinner in a castle. For me it wouldn't be worth it. But if you don't do it, are going to leave Ireland feeling like you missed something? If so, then go for it.

we didn't do on our first trip, but this time we are traveling with our family which will include 2 kids (and 8 big kids!).
we are doing the bunratty banquet, thought it would be a fun group activity for our last night
we had fun a few years ago at the medieval times banquet in florida...atleast this is a real castle!

Go for it. Europe is not a bargain destination. You only go around once. Would you rather return home with $350.00 in your pocket or enjoy your vacation to the fullest? We did it a few years back and it is a great memory. Don't really remember what it cost - don't care. We were on vacation to a place we may never return to.
