car travel belgium to france
I know this is a simple question, but we will rent a car in Brussels in September for a day trip to Namur and Bastogne, then the next day drive to Bayeux in Normandy for the rest of our trip. We've never crossed a border in Europe so what should we expect?

You will not even see the border when you cross it. I hope you are returning the car in Belgium to avoid the high international drop off charges, though.

Since Belgium and France are both in the Schengen zone, it's just like driving from one state to another.

The Tarmac in France is normally a bit newer than in Belgium

The speed limits and road signs change somewhat too.
