Car Service in Italy
Hi everyone,
I posted yesterday about how to get from Venice to Villa D'este. I'm looking into car services now and having a little trouble. I received a quote from a car service associated with the hotel but it was over 800 Euros and if I'm not mistaken that's a smidge on the pricey side! Does anyone have any recommendations on a reliable car service from Venice to Lake Como?
Thank you

If you ask, you canīt afford it
No, seriously, what do you pay in your country for a car with driver for a distance of 300 km one way? IMO 800 Euro is what you would expect for such a distance. Why not simply take a train to Como, or rent a car yourself?

Right- take the train. Trains in Europe are lovely and affordable. A friend of mine is doing a whole tour of Italy this summer- she's going to be with her husband and two friends who don't travel much, so she's making all the arrangements- they're going from Como to Venice, I think, but the trains work both ways- easy trip to plan.

>Rome to Sorrento (about 270 km) is usually 450E.
OK, so it would be something around 500 Euro. But maybe some more since average wages in Northern Italy are usually higher than in the South.
Still, 500 Euro is not something I would spend for 320 km - but itīs amandalbīs money to burn, not mine.
