Car rental agencies in Nafplio

I am attempting to find car rental agencies in Nafplio, and am having problems.

So far I have only found Hermes Car rental, and would like to be able to compare a few prices, anyone have experience with any?

I have seen mention of an Avis, but they seem to be closed - maybe for the season?

Hi Salty!
In late May 2005 I took a little stroll a couple of blocks & found a newly-opened branch of a Tolo agency, Bounos. We got a nice car (stick-shift) for about 30E per day, delivered to our hotel. I think CDW is extra but your own credit card may cover it.

To find Bounos, walk from bus station about 100 yard to waterfront, turn R. At 2nd corner, Bounos is in a wedge-shaped building. It had a website then, but not now apparently. You could try the fax: 27520-26963 in Nafplio or 58065 in Tolo.

We had a lot of difficulty in finding a car rental agency in Nafplion over the internet. When we arrived in Nafplion and walked around there were several agencies near the bus station and down toward the waterfront just where Jan describes. We went in May and had lots of choice of cars. If you do not have to book ahead you can just wait till you get there, in the off season anyway.

Thanks, even the places I have been able to find, don't seem to respond to emails. I was going to call, but instead, I think I will do as stanbr suggests, and just wait until we get there. (We also will be there in May).

It's possible that the emails of your respondents are being intercepted by spam blockers. This is not uncommon.
