This will be our 3rd trip to Menton France so we have done all of the
Antibes, Montecarlo, Monaco, Nice train trips that are so easy from there. Does anyone have suggestions on quaint towns for day trips. We are not interested in museums, more just about ambience. Last but not least, is the driving nerve wracking? Many thanks. Reecee

Have you driven or bused the corniches between Monaco and Nice -say via Eze and its raved views and perfume stands?

Or drive over to say Italy along the Italian Riviera a bit - to say San Remo.

Or drive to iconic hill towns like St-Paul-de-Vence-lovely drives loop around to it away from the coast.

when are you going - in summer the whole area can be gridlocked-other times fine.

I would also suggest San Remo. This was an easy drive but you can also get there by train.
