Cappadocia- Cave Hotel

We will be arriving mid September and I've looked at I'm sure every web site with hotels and head is spinning. So, I'm seeking some advice on a cave hotel.
I don't like large hotels and like the word I've heard used often- Boutique

I'm wanting charming, nice linens & such, good views.

I know that often more expensive is not better. However, it's my birthday so we can splurge!
Thank you!

Esbelli Evi is a wonderful place that even has clean sheets and a grand view from the breakfast terrace.

The only problem is that the owner Suha has put together a number of different properties so to get to your room there could be some up and down.

Esbelli Evi is one of my all time favorite hotels. The service was outstanding and the suite we had was lovely. They took care of many trip details and arrangements for us. I choose it based on high praise from another Fodorite in his trip report a few years ago.

Thanks, for your time & I'm off to do research with your great suggestions. IMDonehere, do you mean up and down as in many stairs?

Yes, stairs. Unless things have changed the owner only takes reservations directly, so he can ascertain, if a person is going to be a problem or not. He likes to maintain a pleasant atmosphere.

Thank you, Peg. My husband tells me I have until next week to make a reservation. So, in the mean time I'm having fun checking out everyone's vote
