Capitol One ATM USABILITY IN EUROPE??
Has anyone had problems using Capitol One ATM card in BARCELONA, along the French Riviera, Monaco, Cinque Terre small towns, Florence, Sicily, Sorento (Amalfi Coast) and/or ROME?
We only have ATM card, no debit card. We do have Capitol One Venture CC, as well as Citibank's credit card.
Has anyone had good experiences?
Thank you!!!

My Cap One ATM card has worked in every county I've visited without any problem. And I have visted all the countries you have marked.
When withdrawing funds from an ATM, if you are given the option of being debited in Euros or your local currency, choose Euros. You will eliminate a DCC fee.

kerouac: >>Every card with a Visa or Mastercard logo works in every ATM in France (and Monaco).<<
ATM-only cards don't have a visa or MC logo
>>We only have ATM card, no debit card.<< . . . Means the OP has an ATM card -- not a visa-logo debit card.
Tiggy: Yes -- your ATM-only card should work fine. Check the systems on the back of the card (PLUS, Interlink, etc) -- look for those same logos on machines

After MANY years of travel with no ATM problems, my primary ATM card was 'eaten" by a machine at Madrid's Barajas airport in May 2015. Card in, no money or card out. I have to believe that such problems are exceedingly rare, but you might want to be sure that you have a back up plan. Just sayin'.

I have had a Capital One ATM card for many many years and have never had a single problem with it in any country, including just a few months ago (and in Barcelona and France). And yes, it is an ATM card, NOT a debit card.
I also have never had a problem with a Capital One credit card, it's just a standard Visa or MC, why would there be a problem.
