Can't find any pictures on the Morgan Hotel!
Heard such great things about this hotel on this web site, but can't find any photos of it anywhere. Have looked on about 6 web sites with no luck. If anyone knows where I can find photos of this hotel, please let me know. Thanks!

hi happygypsy,
Just wanted to chime in on this one...from a friends experience make sure you have the right hotel.
"The Morgan" is the hotel that so many have enjoyed. It is located in bloomsbury at 24 Bloomsbury Street
my understanding it is a b&b hotel that many enjoy, especially if you can afford the extra 15pds for the small apartment suite. they serve full breakfast each morning and are located right near the brtish museum.
"The Morgan Guest House" is the one that people keep mixing up with the "the morgan" and it is a very sad 2 star hotel located at 120 ebury st belgravia london.
I know someone who stayed at "THE MORGAN" that you are referring to and enjoyed it. they used to be regulars here at the site but haven't seen them around here lately.
they have a web site located:
www.davidandcarol.com
their 2001 london/paris report was wonderful. they take wonderful pictures and I was surprised that they did not include a photo of their room.
they love hearing from new people and probably would not mind if you emailed them and asked if they have any photos because I do not think you will find any on the web.
hope this helps!

Yes be sure you select the Morgan in Bloomsbury, a really good hotel. I have not been able to find any good sites on web that have photos of the hotel. TO the best of my knowledge the owners of the hotel have not yet placed any kind of web page, so it is difficult to find any information. I can tell you that I have stayed there many times and have never had bad experience. The rooms are very good (now, they can be small but that is typcial of London), the breakfast is great, and the family members that own and operate the Morgan are wonderful. If you have time prior to your trip you could telephone them and ask them to mail you a brochure, which does have photos of the rooms and the breakfast area.
I suspect that they have reason to avoid a web site since they are so popular that they really do not need to be spending all their time responding to web enquiries. If you do want to stay here you must book way ahead of your planned visit as the hotel is usually fully booked. If you can get in do it.

Thank you erinb & curt for your responses. I really appreciate your help. I am almost inclined to reserve the hotel even without photos because of all the high held recommendations. Since my trip is in March, I may not have time to have the brochure mailed before reserving a room, but that is a good idea.

Hello happygypsy,
I have stayed at the Morgan Hotel many times, too ,but always in one of the flats in the annex building .
When I was there last October, a redecorating project was underway in the main hotel, the plan was to have every thing completed by March. The flats are going to be redecorated, also.
As you have discovered, the Morgan doesn't have a web site or e-mail address ,in fact, there isn't even a computer in the tiny office,
Word of mouth and good reviews by Fodors , Frommers, etc keeps the Morgan full almost every night.
If you decide to give it a try, phone or fax the hotel as soon as possible.
I think you will like it.

There's a picture of the Morgan at http://www.myxte.com/bonsplans.php?o...icle&artid=148 We have a 16-night reservation in June. No web, no email but they're nice on the phone and happily changed my reservation twice as I fine-tuned our plans.
