Looking for a good travel guide book and the southern area of Italy seems to be neglected in many of the popular guides.

Cadogan Bay of Naples and Southern Italy. But you will have to buy their Sicily guide as well, for the island is not included in the Naples guide.

We used Michelin Green in Sicily for sights, and it was excellent. Of course there were no restaurants or hotels. We used Karen Brown for pensiones.

For Sicily, I found the Rough Guide to Sicily more helpful than the other books I used. Hope that helps!
