Can you recommend a Dublin Walking Tour?

Will be in Dublin for 3 days. We've enjoyed walking tours in London (Jack the Ripper)and Rome (Ancient City). Is any one tour in Dublin really worthwhile? Someone suggested the Literary Walk but none of us are much read into James Joyce. How about the Easter Rising tour?

The easter rising tour would be interesting. What aout the musical pub crawl? It starts at Oliver St John Gogherty 7:30 most evenings. ALsothere is a Ghost Bust tour in the evenings that is meant to be fun. Trinity College does tours in the daytime that are interesting as well.

The literary walk is good. I do not think there is any need to have read the authors to enjoy it. Just so long as you know who Oscar Wilde and Brendan Behan and Joyce, etc. are.

The musical pub walk is enjoyable, too.

The Easter Rising Tour I think you mean is the Rebellion of 1916 Tour which I took last May. It was fabulous. Both guides are equally as charasmatic and wonderful story tellers, the history really comes alive. I highly, highly recommend it.

There is also a very interesting walking tour conducted by students of Trinity College. It leaves from the main gate of the college. Check with the information desk. We did this one and it was quite good and as I recall very inexpensive.

the Trinity tour is well worth doing...however they're not always done by history graduates. A friend of mine was a tour guide when I was there and he was a science undergrad!

The Zozimus Ghost Walk is amusing and has some history thrown in for good measure. We did it a couple of years ago and had a good time. The guide covers ground pretty quickly so really slow walkers would have trouble. One woman couldn't keep up. Don't know what happened to her .... probably swallowed up by something evil lurking in a narrow alley.

Here is the link to their site. http://www.zozimus.com/ Have Fun!!

Thanks for sharing your experiences!Looks like there are several good choices. Hope we can get the 3 of us to agree on a couple. I'm really excited! We leave on June 15th.

Any recommendations for a walking or biking tour of Dublin? Our two teen sons have done Mike's Bike Tour in Munich and Scala Reale in Rome...what would be fun and educational in Dublin?
P.S. They are too young for a pub tour!
