can you check luggage with your airline at Victoria Station?

can you check luggage with your airline at Victoria Station?
or only leave it there? I know they have left luggage but I don't know if you can check your bags with the airline from there. if you can, do the lines tend to be horrible? many thanks.

They took all of the lockers out of all of the train stations years ago. I'm not sure if you can "check" luggage though. I know that when I was in London a few years ago, it was policy to cordon off any bags left alone.

There is a manual left luggage at Victoria and at other big stations in London, including Charing Cross and Waterloo. Bags are put through a scanner, and the charge is £4 or £5 per item for 24 hours.

Jody and Geoff are correct, Paddington checkin for BA is ending July 31 as part of a "cost-cutting" effort. I sent them an email via their Web site to protest -- it was a very convenient service, and our incentive to pay the extra and use the H'row Express.
I've checked bags in the "Left Luggage Room" at several London stations. They charge by the bag. Lockers disappeared after someone thought them a good place for explosives...
