Can't find a thread posted by a Fodor's editor

I think it was here yesterday about his/her unfortunate experience with a restaurant in Greece - and can't find!

The editor made a reservation which was not honored. The same happened to us just 2-3 weeks ago in San Francisco @ Benihana - we were told (not asked, but told) to wait as they had a tour bus to serve.

Actually, it happens in hotels too, sometimes I hear from others they get "walked" when the hotel is overbooked.

I thought I better read the original post again, maybe I misunderstood something? Can somebody please post a link?

The URL cited is not a link to any specific thread.

Presumably, you mean http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34817806

...which I located by searching "greece reservation".

I certainly agree that hotels overbook, and occasionally "walk" their clients when overbooking results in room oversales.

Best wishes,

Rex

Yes, Rex, this is the one! Thank you!

Intrepid, thanks for the effort, but in order to post a link you should click on the topic so you'll see a URL ending with a bunch of numbers.

<< ...a URL ending with a bunch of numbers... >>

Specificially you need to see "tid= ....." which refers to the "thread identifier".
