Can I make it to these two concerts in Paris?
On the 23rd of this month, there's a concert at Ste. Chappelle at 7PM (about an hour, it looks like...) and one at 8:30 at Notre Dame. Doable or are these sites too far apart? I don't want to need roller skates!

They are practically next door neighbors. A 5 min. walk tops.
The early Ste Chapelle concerts tend to run over maybe 5 mins - but they can't dally because another audience has to get through security for the second concert.
So you would have absolutely no problem getting to Notre Dame for 8:30

Sallyjane, what is the concert at Ste. Chappelle? I just went to one there this past week, it was Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Les Salistes Francais, and it was PHENOMENAL! You can definitely make it between the two easily, as janisj said, there is a second concert at Ste. Chappelle at 8:30 that they need to fill too.

I am pretty sure that the one at Ste. Chappelle is not free. But the one at Notre Dame might be. I know we attended a free organ concert one day at Notre Dame. I think it was on a Sunday afternoon. Anyone else?

We have reservations for the 7 pm Vivaldi concert at St. Chappelle the same night. I made reservations on www.ampconcerts.com. The cost was around 20 euros.

Been celebrating Mom's Day so I was away from here for awhile. Gramzy is right on: ampconcerts.com.
I am paying 23E for Ste. Chapelle and Notre Dame's is free. And, it IS Vivaldi's Four Seasons, amyb (my daughter's name and initial, btw), my absolute favorite.
See you there, gramzy. I'll be the petite strawberry blonde grinning from ear to ear.

Notre Dame often has free organ recitals on Sunday afternoons around 4-4:30, but their evening concerts often have a fee. This is their general musical schedule, on their website
http://www.cathedraledeparis.com/FR/e2.asp
Their own website says that particular concert has a fee, and tickets are 15 euro, so not sure where sallyjane got the info it is free, but maybe she will say. It is free for children under 18, that's all. You need tickets, and can buy them at the church. It's a mass by Brumel, who is a French Renaissance composer. I enjoy that kind of choral music (and like Renaissance masses), but it's not an instrumental concert.
Not sure if this will work, but it describes the 5/23 concert more, and tickets

Also, if you look in the "agenda" section from the homepage of the website, it lists concerts that week and fees. The evening ones almost always have fees.
