Can I fly Olbia to Rome on Alitalia?
Does Alitalia fly from Olbia to Rome? I don't see Olbia as a destination on their website? From what I have read on here, I don't think I want to fly Meridiana.
I'm doing 6 days in Positano followed by 7 days in Sardinia and 4 days in Rome.
In Sardinia, for the first 3 days I am staying at the Hotel Stella Maris so I need to fly either from Naples or Rome into Cagliari. The last 4 days in Sardinia I am staying at the Hotel Capo d'Orso. I would like to fly out of Olbia to Rome.
Any suggestions?

No, Alitalia does not fly to Olbia. There is Meridiana. I am not sure but Alitalia MIGHT have put some flights for Olbia only for the summer season due to the very high request (Sardinia is one of the major and most beloved holiday destinations for italians), but that was some years ago, I think.
Meridiana is IMO no better and no worse than Alitalia. I am not particularly impressed by ALitalia service due to the many strikes that cause many problems to passengers, to the aloofness of some flight attendants (when I once flew in a domestic leg I DARED to ask for another pack of cookies and the attendant litterally launched it on my table...the jerk!), and to many other reasons. Of course as all the airline companies, there are positive and negative opinions , so...

Jet_Girl,
Another option depending on where you're headed on Sardinia is Air One, which has service from Rome to Alghero.
www.air-one.it
Hope this helps,
Andre
