Butane curing iron

Can I carry-on or pack a butane curling iron? I used to be able tobut am not sure now. Any one have an answer?

No butane on board. You can bring the curling iron if there is no fuel residue, which means just the iron. With butane, it's easy. Imagine a gas cooker, once used you won't ever be able to bring it on board.

No Butane cartridges for hair curling irons are not allowed. I had to throw mine away at the airport. The curling iron itself was allowed, but I never found the butane cartridges used in the iron anywhere in France this year.

There are several standard cardriges sold over here. If you post which one it uses, one might be able to tell if it is worth bringing the iron at all.

Personally I have used it(and smuggled the butane), but.. honestly they do a LOUSY job. Conair sells a $10 version at WalMart, Target etc. that's dual voltage. Mine has worked great, much better then the butane ever did!
