Bus or Train from San Sebastian to Biarritz

Hi there,
I'm arriving in San Sebastian next week and will take a day trip to Biarritz. What is the best way to get there? I'll be traveling on Monday, so would I be better off taking PESA bus directly to Biarritz in the morning or the Eusko train to Hendaye and change it to French train from there?

Your feedback will be much appreciated

direct bus would seem to be quicker and seemless

I have taken Eskro trin from Donostia (San Sebastian as locals like it called - a Basque word, not the rather detested Spanish San Sebastian) to Hendaye and it is a very slow train - very interesting in that it goes right down streets thru towns, etc but slow

And at Hendaye to get to Biarritz you must then hope there is a train leaving without a long wait - trains not all that frequent I believe and the Biarritz train station is a few miles out of town - with shuttle buses into the town center.

bus seems seemless and probably cheaper all told.

Conda (2), ALSA (1) and PISA (1) all have limited morning service from Donsotia to Biarrtiz, not including the direct PISA bus to the Biarritz airport.

There are several trains (at least 5) each morning from Hendaye to Biarritz (about 25 minutes travel time), but you can also take the local bus from in front of the Hendaye train station up to Biarrtiz after taking the TOPO from SS to Hendaye.

The last time we tried the combination of the TOPO and local bus service in Hendaye, it took about 1-1/2 hours to get from Donostia to the market in Saint Jean-de-Luz.
