Are you driving around?

We stayed at a chateau near Nuit St. George but we had a car. There are heaps of b&b type chateaus all over Burgundy with different price-ranges.

So if would help if you gave us a bit more information.

I think Rick STeves may have recommended some places in Beaune, but I haven't got his guide with me at the moment.

We are driving and would like to find a base in Beaune in the two star price range. Tried Le Cep and they are booked. Would like to be in town so that after wine tasting I won't need to drive. I understand there is a safari wine tasting tour in Beaune that we plan to take while leaving the car parked. Interested in the lesser expensive accomodations, good value, etc.. Thanks,
Victor Noir

We stayed in Beaune in Septemeber of last year and we were there on 9/11.

We stayed at the Athenor Hotel Tulip. Very nice, very centrally located and I believe that it was around $80 for a double ensuite. Would highly recommend it.

US
The Michelin Red Guide for France lists a dozen or so 2* hotels in and around Beaune. You can access their choices at www.viamichelin.com. Use the map function to focus in on Beaune and then the links to find your sleeps, eats, and sites. Print out the map and you're all set.
I stay in a 1* near Nuits-St-Georges. I know how to get there but I can't remember the name, and it is below Michelin's standards for inclusion, apparently.
BTW, Le Cap is probably not a 2* place. Michelin gives it 3* and the icon rouge indicating it is a particularly pleasant hotel. It is the only hotel in Beaune so honored, and it is also twice as expensive as any other listed by M.
www.enjoy-europe.com

Oops, that should be Le Cep not Le Cap.
