Burgandy in 4 days?
We have 4 days to spend in Burgandy after a 7 day visit in Paris. Since Burgandy is so close, train to Dijon, rent car, go to Beaune and saunter back to Paris. Will leave the wheels in Fontainebleau and train to CDG the next AM. Four full days and a huge list of things. Any suggestions as to the best of a long list of see-and-do's would be appreciated. We are history and architecture fans. We're supposed to be resting before flying home. Never Happen!!

You could also take the TGV from Dijon to CDG in the AM.
There's been a lot of info posted about Burgundy recently. Spell it correctly and do a search.

Nice one, Stu.

esp the unit called La Porterie.
It is beautiful beyond belief.

Stu, Thank you for bringing my spelling error to light. I guess my old mind is a little out of shape after working all day. So glad you made me aware. I can'd seem to find a way to edit the post so I suppose I'll be humiliated forever.
I do thank you, however, for the tip about the train back to CDG, it would give us extra time in the area. I'll check the schedules. Have to be at CDG by about 10:30AM.

Hi yy,
We very much liked our stay in Beaune at the www.hotel-grillon.fr/
A tip on driving in Beaune.
The main drag is a circle going counterclockwise.

Won't work then - earliest the TGV will get you to CDG on weekdays is around 8:30 - and 9:30 weekends.
We had a very early flight in '06, & took the TGV from Dijon to Paris the afternoon before. Stayed at the Hotel Terminus across the street from the train station, and had a great dinner at the unbelievable Train Bleu at the train station (interior is a "must see" for us). Taxi to CDG in the AM, but the desk will tell you about other less costly options.
