Bunratty and Galway B&Bs

My mom, sister and I are planning our trip for March 10-19, 2005. Would appreciate comments on B & Bs in Bunratty- Headley Court Guest House, Ash Grove House, and Brittany Meadows. Also, in Galway - Killeen House. Thanks!

I can highly recommend Bunratty Lodge. Others have said Ashgrove House was very nice also.

Just reread my original message - of course, I meant Bunratty Meadows! Has anyone stayed there?

Thanks, Jan

I have stayed at both Bunratty Lodge and Headley Court and would highly recommend both. I have not stayed at Bunratty Meadows but I did stop by and meet the owners Barry and Dariena Sutton recently. They were both very gracious and showed me around their B&B. The rooms are large, nicely decorated and clean. There was a rather small combo dining room & lounge but I believe it is to be extended. There are nice views from the house of the countryside but it is farther away from Bunratty than the first two places mentioned. The location is quiet.

Thanks for the reply! We booked Bunratty Meadows. How far away from the castle where we are going to the banquet?

I can only estimate as I did not bring my measuring tape! Maybe 1 1/2 miles or a little more. You will have to drive to the banquet. Reserve the banquet in advance.
