Budget Frankfurt Layover Hotel Recommendation

My mother and I land in Frankfurt from Barcelona at 6:00 PM on 3/16 (Sunday). We leave back to the states on 3/17 at 10:00 AM. Any ideas on a good reasonably priced hotel that could maybe let us enjoy the evening in Frankfurt but not be too far from the airport for the next day? Looking for under $100 US if possible.

Hi! We picked the Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Airport. For 2 adults and 2 children it was only 47 euros, and includes a free breakfast. Hope this helps! Jennifer

We stayed at the Steigenberger Airport hotel. They have free shuttles to the terminals every 10 minutes 24/7. I paid $100.00 plus tax on Priceline. We took the shuttle to the airport then used the Metro to explore Frankfurt. It is a very nice hotel.

Jennifer, that's a fabulous deal. How did you get it?

Go to ichotels.com(holiday inn website), it's at 47eurors right now as we speak. I just checked it. I notice that Holiday Inn changes their prices a couple time a day. Good luck all! Jennifer

Thanks for the advice! We decided to roll the dice on Priceline in hopes of being closer to the city center and not needing a car, and got the Movenpick City for $68 (plus $20 tax). Not bad for us!

Did you bid in the West area of Frankfurt for the Movenpick?

I first tried East for $67 then added West for $68 (4 star).

I always use www.biddingfortravel.com and www.betterbidding.com for help... seems like Moevenpick normally goes for between $55-75, but I didn't want the inconvenience of having to rebid in a few days to save $5 so I started higher.
