Budapest on a budget
I always try to travel on a very tight budget, and I found this very easy to do in Budapest! I was shocked by what a beautiful city it is, and just how much there is to see. Here is my guide to what to see and do in the Hungarian capital, with some guidelines as to how much to budget.

I stayed in Budapest, but wanted to see some of the Hungarian countryside. So I took a day trip to see the Danube Bend region, just north of the city. In particular, I really loved the colourful streets of Szentendre and the views from Visegrad castle. The next link is my guide to the Danube Bend as a daytrip from Budapest, I've gone into detail about how to best see this area using public transport as this is something I struggled to find in the guide books (which all gave directions by car!).

I really enjoyed y trip to Hungary and would recommend this fantastic country to anyone thinking of going and I hope my trip reports help!

Adelaidean - Thank you
The nearby towns were lovely, I especially liked Szentendre. And very easy to access from the city.
GinnyJo - Thank you! It was a great trip, I would most definitely go back.
StCirq - It's a pleasure. You will have a great time, Budapest is a fantastic city!

Elisgriffiths- I enjoyed your blog and pictures, thanks for posting.
Is there any way you could have a tab with drop downs for all the countries you have blog posts for? I'd to see more of what you've written without going through every one!

bodkeefe - Thank you so much
That's a very good idea, I've had a go at doing a drop-down menu, but I'm really bad with computers! Haha. But I'm going to keep trying as that would make the site a lot easier to navigate.
