Budapest like Zurich?

I was in Zurich last year, and found the city to be nice, but didn't find there was much to see in the city itself for 4 days. Am i going to have the same problem in Budapest? Which european city is Budapest most similar to?

Um, sorry...I fail to see the comparison between the two. Most people seem to think that Budapest has quite a lot to see and do. Especially since you can explore the different sections of the city, and take in the architecture, etc.. Maybe I am just different than you, but if I had 4 days in any major European city, I think I could easily fill up my time, even if I had already seen all of the "touristy" areas. There are lots of threads on Budapest here. Plus, you can just read up on it's highlights & history, giving you the preparation you will need to appreciate the city when you get there.

PS: If you have time, read the novel "Prague". I never finished it, myself , but it's about people living in Budapest after the revolution. You will learn about places in the city, and then you can see them for yourself.

I suggest you get a guidebeook, a real one, that covers Budapest and read about the city and its various sites/attractions. Or you can do a seach on-line with similar results. If what you read intrigues you then you may have a better idea of what to expect. Whether or not you have that same "problem" as you described it that you had with Zurich is ultimately up to you and to you alone. Nobody here can absolutely guarantee your experience and if you think I am wrong then I think you are wasting your own time as well as ours.

You already asked this question before in your thread: Is Budapest worth seeing? How much research have you done so far?

If you're asking which city Budapest looks like - I would say paris - a lot of sections have a similar feel. If you want to know what thre is to do - you need to tell us what you're interested in. It's not good my telling yu to see the monument to Atila if all you care about is wine and fine dining.
