Buckingham Palace - summer jobs available

The latest email from the Royal Collection Trust has details of summer jobs available at Buckingham Palace. It would be something to talk about at future job interviews!

From the website -
Each year we recruit around 350 summer staff to help our front-of-house teams create a memorable experience for millions of visitors from all over the world. We look for warm and enthusiastic people with a passion for excellent customer service.

Before you all get too excited - from the website FAQs: Please note that we are unable to accept applications from individuals who do not have the right to work in the UK.

That would be for British and Irish citizens.

It would be weird if they had people as greeting ambassadors to Buckingham Palace from Mexico, for example. They wouldn't do that. Buckingham Palace pays those summer jobs about 12 GBP which is around 15 euro/USD per hour. I guess that wouldn't be too bad for a young student. You have to work Saturdays and Sundays, though.

Or for those with Right of Abode/Leave to Remain. When we lived in the UK, my husband had RoA and I had IDL (Indefinite Leave to Remain; I was officially a Settlement Wife ).So I could have applied (although I wouldn't have).
