Bucharest short-term apartment rental with car pickup/dropoff advice needed

I am thinking of renting a flat for the few days while I'll be in Bucharest, but am a little leery because I have found very few luxury apartments in central locations. Thanks for your help!!

What sort of accommodation are you looking for?
I found a gem in Bucharest for my older daughter's group in Bucharest a couple of months ago at www.aparthomes.ro . She picked out an apartment that was spacious enough for 3 girls and with a reasonable price. Look it up and see if they still have any apartments available.

In June I spent an overnight in Bucharest and stayed at Hello Hotel for E$30 per night and it is located next to one of the main train stations. You can catch a bus from the airport to the train station then it is less than a five minute walk.

You can view my trip report and picture at:

Think you will enjoy Romania!

I would not stay near any railway station; it is not so safe, not so clean and it is crowded.
I would find an apartment on Magheru Boulevard, or Dorobanti area, Piata Universitatii.
All these are very central located and near public transport. However, when we go to Bucharest we use taxis and not public transport.

I had a look at the site recommended by Terry and for sure you can find there something good for you.

I do not know anything about Redbed company, but I do not like those who broke the rules and advertise in this forum.

I checked the Redbed company and their prices are OK but the locations of the apartments are remote, far from anything. On the other side, Aparthomes have some centrally located apartments but they are overpriced. I will stick with Alia Accommodation and I recommend them to everybody. I booked two times at Alia in the best location I could wish for, at University square, close to anything: the Old Town, the National Theater, shops and the metro. Their prices are reasonable and the cleaning is impeccable. Their website: www.in-bucharest.com
