We have 4 days in Bucharest and want to do at least one day trip. What was your favorite experience there and what should we not miss?

Click on my name for my Romania TR. How many nights do you have? I would head for Brasov rather than spending time in Bucharest.

Favorite experience in Bucharest - Parliament house, Vacaresti natural park, walk/brunch in Herastrau park around the lake and the nightlife in the old city centre
Outside of Bucharest would say -Transfagarasan Highway (done by car), Seven Stairs Canyon (near Brasov, about 2h drive/train) and the clasic castles Peles, Bran and also Cantacuzino palace

I am now in Romania. Places not to miss are Manuc's Inn, Village Museum and Stavropoleos Church in the old city, Revolution Square - the place from where Ceausescu fled the furry of the people. You cand take a walk in Cismigiu Park. You cand take a trip to Peles Castle or medieval Brasov city.
