Bruges or Antwerp

Hi. We are planning to do a day trip from Brussels but we only have 1 day so we have to choose between Bruges or Antwerp. We are not museum-people but we like some history along the streets. My husband loves food. I like anything that's extraordinary. Oh, and this trip is for next week.

Bruges. Very touristy, but I loved it.

Bruges, without a doubt. Head to the Chocolate Line at Simon Stevinplein 19.

Don't buy tacky chocolates in the cheap tourist stores. The Chocolate Line or Dumon have the best. Visit both to compare & contrast. Dumon is also located on Stevenplein, so they are conveniently located for your eating pleasure.

Chocolate Line in Brugge has just been completely revamped, with a 'chocolate experience' area where you can see the production process. Out-of-this-world great chocolates, with some very unusual flavours.
