Brouwer Hotel?

I have a one night layover in Amsterdam and have booked a room at the Brouwer Hotel. Any comments and/or suggestions regarding the hotel would be appreciated. I'm also curious to know if a lot of the tourist attractions such as Anne Franke House, Red Light District, etc. are walking distance from the hotel. I'd love to hear any and all recommendations on things to see and do in a day and a half. I'm planning on visiting the two above and possibly taking a canal cruise but not sure how much time all these things will take to see and get too.

You will love the Brouwer. Go to this site, and click on reviews with ratings. Enough said.

http://channels.nl/

The RLD is less than a ten minute walk. You will be near everything. Have fun.

The Brouwer is very central. It's on the Singel Canal about half way between Dam Square and Centraal Station. I don't think any of the places you or I mentioned are more than a 10 minute walk.

I read that Brouwer is in the Red Light District. Does it get noisy in the rooms? Thanks.

It is near a very tiny version of the main RLD. Not even a consideration.

I'm just hoping it gets noisy in my room! However, I am curious about this so-called mini or "very tiny" version of the RLD? Can someone tell me about it?

I think it means there are a very few of the 'windows' with the red lighting in the area (stragglers), whereas across the way the actual RLD covers more area.
