The tax is the same on all airlines. If flying US-LHR non-stop, it's about $160, give or take $10, if flying in coach.
If flying business or first, then it's another ~$80.
Anything else is fuel (or whatever) surcharge imposted by the airline. It's not a tax or fee, as that's basically part of the fare. Lots of European airlines do that, most US airlines don't.

BA IS MESS & even their own customer services staff confirm!
I can give you tens of examples of BA's mess if you are interested. Pls guys look out in the market & there are many better options. I am saying this being a BA Executive Gold Club member, thus hoping I would deserve some consideration. I transferred my portfolio of travels (business & economy) to several of their competitors and I am... happy I did it.
