Breaking news !! Kenderina is going to London-Edinburgh !! London Priceline question (and any suggestion you want to make about it all)

Wowwww, I'm excited !! My friend Alina who lives in Edinburgh has invited me to join her at London on Saturday 29th for the weekend and then go to Edinburgh till 4th of May that she is free from work
As this is soooooo last minute and following the tips I've learned here..I've made a backup booking in London for two nights at the Southwark Rose Hotel (I love Southwark) for 165 pounds the two nights.
Anyway, I would like to see if I can get something cheaper at Priceline...do you think it's possible right now ? I know I have very few days to try.
Any comments will be welcomed !!

PS : Any special thing to do in Edinburgh that does not involve hiking ? I've read on the highlights and have a pretty clear idea of what to do..it's just I don't want to miss any special moment there !!!

Cheaper than £82.50 a night? Easily, I should think.

How about the Thistle Marble Arch?

Thanks, Robespierre. I read it before and also better bidding but all those bookings were made some time ago and right now at the thistle page it shows no availability..just because of the short time..I suppose trying doesn't hurt

I see 4 reservations at various 3* and 4* made yesterday for between $60 and $100 - including the Hilton for $68.

Yes, they were made yesterday...but not for my dates next week. Anyway, there is one which includes my dates at the Thistle Marble Arch for $90 ..it's still a bit cheaper than the other I'll give it a try

Gppd lick w/ priceline.

As for Edinburgh - you can catch the hop-on-hop-off bus tour (just like the one in London) from Waverly Bridge just across from the big tourist infomation office. It is a great way to see all the major sites sitting down. Ride all around the full loop and then continue as it starts it's route again and it will take you up to the Castle so you don't have to climb the rock. Tour the Castle and then the whole Royal Mile is down hill from there.

Well done on your Priceline "win", have great time in London. That seems a good price for that hotel which is in a convenient Mayfair location.
