Brancacci Chapel 15 minute timing question

From what I have read it seems that admission to the Brancacci Chapel occurs on 15 minute intervals, that reservations are a good idea in September, and that your hotel can probably make the reservations a few days before.

My question is does that mean you spend less than 15 minutes in the chapel? Everyone is cleared out before the next group is allowed in? I presume the answer is yes, but have not been able to confirm that.

Thanks.

Yes, you can only stay in the chapel for 15 min before they usher everyone out for the next group. You are free to wander around the church or watch the video, 45 min long - if they are still showing it!

Thanks Alec. That seems a shame but I understand the various reasons behind it.

I'm really sad to hear that visits are now limited to 15 minutes. Can you book back-to-back tickets?

They don't just usher you out. They turn off the lights!!

You could probably book back-to-back, but we had no trouble seeing all the panels and taking lots of pictures in 15 minutes.

Perhaps they would let you stay longer if you could approach Eve’s anguish at having to leave? They have allowed her to remain in there all these years!
