Bosphorus Ferry Information Please

I'm a little confused about Bosphorus ferry schedules. Do they only run up the Bosphorus once a day. We will be in Istanbul in August and want to tour Dolhambice Palace in the morning and head up the Bosphorus (from Besiltas) in the afternoon. Is this possible? Thanks!

I can't answer except to say that we did the round trip and it was pretty much all day. We went to the far end, just before the Black Sea and had a nice lunch before returning in the later afternoon. It's a pretty long and slow trip, but very enjoyable.

I can also only speak of my experience. We went to the Spice Bazaar before the cruise so we didn't leave until late morning or early afternoon. We stopped for lunch and walking around an ancient ruin, now used as a theatre. But I'm sure when we returned to the pier we took a taxi to Dolhamanche Palace and toured it late afternoon, so we must have returned between 3 and 4. It shouldn't be a problem for you. Have fun.

Yes it is possible. You can visit in the morning Dolmabahce Palace by yourself or get a half day guided tour and afternoon bosphorus on private boat tour. Note: Dolmabahce Palace closed on Monday & Thursday.

Enjoy your trip.

You can have tour in Dolmabahce then you have to catch 1PM Public Boat in KABATAS.

If you make until the end of Bosphorus you may see the blacksea and also you may have CHEAP fish early dinner then you can come back to Sirkeci with 5 PM boat.

Have a nice trip in Turkey'
