Borromini and Bernini-any books you recommend?
I am looking for any recommendations for reading on Borromini and Bernini...particularly on their rivalry. I know very little about them and would like to read a bit in the remaining time before we head to Rome. Suggestions?

You can experience a Bernini vs Borromini moment at Piazza Navona.the four rivers fountain(gorgeous) is by Bernini; the church just in front is by Borromini.One of the statues in the fountain, cover his eyes with his hand, supposedle not to see the horrendous church made by Borromini.
For two great sculptures by Bernini(all of them are great really) taake a look at the two "extasis", "Santa Teresa" and "Beata Ludovica Albertoni"; they are located in two different churches, you can easily google for location.
