Borghese Gallery: How to avoid standing in line

I guess I'm a bit confused about the whloe process. I understand you have to have an advance reservation. What I can't seem to find out is: Can you get the actual tickets in advance or do you have to stand in line the day of to get it?

Obviously, we're trying to avoid the lines. According to their web info, you must pick up the tickets at least 30 minutes prior to your reservation time, and they allot 360 persons per time slot. Seems like that's a lot of folks at one time trying to get their tickets. (We're going on a Saturday so I assume there would be a full crowd.)

I believe you have to stand in line. No shows lose their tickets. It only takes a few minutes to buy them, then you are free to wander outside or perhaps to the gift shop or cafe until admission.

The line dosen't take very long. Just remember to print your confirmaton and bring it with you. We got there early and had time to explore and take pics outside.

Thanks. So if we have a 1:00 reservation, would 12:00 be OK to get there?

I think 12:00 would be fine -- or you could cut it closer, say 12:15 or :20.
