bordeaux to the Dordogne
Hi, I am in the early stages of planning our trip to South western France. We arrive in Bordeaux and will spend about 4 weeks spending time in the Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrenees, and Languedoc-Roussilion regions. We will end our trip by a direct drive to Paris to fly home. I'm thinking of a generally clockwise route, starting in the Dordogne in the Sarlat area for several days, then moving to the St Cere area, then heading south east towards the Med coast, then along the Spanish border. Any suggestions for routings? Is there a recommended route from Bordeaux to the Sarlat area? I feel a little foolish asking for advice when I haven't done much planning first, but I am overwhelmed by the amount of things to see and do. I can't seem to select the route to take after leaving the St Cere area and heading south east and then along the Spanish border towards the west. (I guess my post is more than the title indicates!)
Thanks

Hi T,
Bordeaux to Sarlat via the bypass around Bergerac is about 3 hr.
You might want to stop for an overnight in the Bordeaux area.
We very much enjoyed our stay at www.chateau-de-roques.com/accueil_a.htm
