Bookmarks to specific old threads no longer lead to the thread. Instead they just bring up the first page of the Europe forum. If the search function starts working, the bookmarks will no longer be necessary. But it the search--the most important feature of any research site--is still the worst feature of this site, all old threads that anyone saved are probably lost. <BR><BR>I thought Fodors was down yesterday, since even my bookmark to Fodors travel forum was yielding an error message when I tried to use it. I just got on now by going to www.fodors.com and getting here step-by-step.

Hi Carol! Yes, my bookmarks are not working either. BUT, I don't need them anymore because the "Search" function is FINALLY WORKING!! The search function was the feature that, in the past, had frustrated me the most.

If bookmarks are important to you, you can still use them. can't find the thread ID id I click on bookmark and the url that pops up is not the url of original thread i bookmarked but the url of first page of the forum at teh moment

Hmm - - it may be that I don't understand what your "old" bookmarks look like. You are talking about IE, right? Click on Edit bookmarks, then once you have a listing of all your bookmarks, RIGHT click on the bookmark in question and you should have a URL. What is this URL?<BR>

If you are using IE, then go to My Computer, C, Windows, Favorites.<BR><BR>Pick the bookmark and then right click on it and select properties. This will show you the actual link which will allow you to get the topic id. Then follow the same instructions that Rex has.
