Booking TGV Tickets, CDG-NICE Best booking site?
Hi there, me and my GF trip to France is officially 3 months away yesterday and from my understanding, train schedules such as the TGV can be booked 3 months in advance?
we are looking at booking the TGV from CDG to Nice. However reading online there are various opinions as to where to book through
Where is the best place/best price to book train tickets online?
As well, are there certain tickets we should be looking at booking in the case that we miss the train we were scheduled for and have to rebook?
We have roughly 2.5-3 hours from landing to when the TGV departs in the morning by the looks of it, so missing the train could be a possibility and we dont want to buy tickets that may leave us with no option other than paying full price on the new tickets?
Any help would be very much appreciated

I have been researching the same. The 3 sites that I have looked at are voyages-sncf;loco2 and capitainetrain. They all seem to have comparable prices. I found the Voyages-sncf site tricky to use. Loco2 quotes in British pounds. Many people are recommending the capitainetrain and I'm leaning towards them when the time comes to book. They are very prompt and helpful in answering e mail. I understand that the cheap tickets go fast so if you are within 91 days your rates should now be posted. I suggest that you make a decision quickly.

Just booked using capatainetrain
It was cheaper than voyages, and really simple and straight forward
The reviews seem pretty good regarding their site and their support seems to be good so we'll see!
Two one way first class tickets from Paris to nice stopping for an hour marsaille came to 165 euros

www.capitainetrain.com and en.voyages-sncf.com have exactly the same prices, as they connect directly to the same system.
But whereas en.voyages-sncf.com is obsessed with where you live, and tries to divert you to one of its Rail Europe subsidiaries, Capitainetrain doesn't care as you're going to get a print-at-home or collect-at-station ticket anyway, so why does it matter?
So there are no Machiavellian redirects with Capitainetrain, and it's been streamlined, you can have a ticket from Paris to Nice in your hand in 45 seconds.
Loco2 connects to uk.voyages-sncf.com (the artiste formerly known as Raileurope.co.uk) which has the same prices as en.voyages-sncf (and therefore as Capitainetrain) but it can't sell the cheap iDTGV services, and sells in pounds.
Loco2, Capitaintrain & en.voyages-sncf (but NOT uk.voyages-sncf) give you a choice of upper or lower deck on a TGV Duplex, and give a choice of seating options such as a solo seat or table for 2 in 1st class, a table for 4 in 2nd class. many overseas sites allocate your seat with no choice, so these 3 are the ones to use if you care where you sit.
