booking in cinque terre

What is the best way to book rooms, B&Bs or apartments in Cinque Terre (I thought about Monterosso or Vernazza)?
Neither venere, nor summerinitaly do not help.

I have visited twice, 2006 and 2008. Both times I booked directly with our hotels' websites. We stayed in Manarola, but I also considered and had no trouble communicating with hotels in Vernazza and Corniglia, which we also considered.

We stayed at Marina Piccolo in 2006, at Ca d'Andrean in 2008. We stayed 4 nights in 2006, 6 nights in 2008.

In general, it is sometimes most reliable to communicate by fax. Italians have a great respect for fax machines that they do not have for e-mail.

When are you going?

zeppole, that's interesting, but not my experience. For my 2006 trip, I did use the fax for a very few of our reservations. But for our most recent trip (October 2008), I used email exclusively. With no problems at all! I also found email to be much less costly, which I appreciated.

Thank you! I hope to be there im mid July (after Amalfi) and I prefer a small apt. or b&b and can't find a good site which tries put info on these together. Otherwise it's very disturbing just to google them and you can't be sure you don't miss anyhting good.

fyi, both of the places I stayed in are, essentially, b&b's.

Manarola and Corniglia are such small towns, there is no such thing as a real "hotel" anyway!

Booking lodging in CT in mid-July might be problematic...but good luck!

You are going to love the CT

we stayed at http://www.cinqueterre-laposada.com/...partments.html

We faxed then called to make sure all was fine.

We loved the town of Corniglia and would stay here again.
