Bob is not happy !
#21
hi bob,
I agree with everything you and others [including me] have posted, but hats off to Katie and her plas for responding so fast - we have "jump to last" and "back to top" buttons, grey heeadings for posts we've clicked and a left-hand column of recent posts.
now if they can give me a left-hand column of MY recent posts, instead of having to back-click all the time, I'll be a happy woman.
regards, ann

I am not having any speed issues but I sympathize with those who are. AOL has always been a problem for developers. Why people continue to stay with them is beyond me. (I guess some people don't like change, even if it means change for the better.) I am using Firefox as my browser.
Katie, your 3:33 PM post was brilliant. Keep up the great work.

<i><font color=blue>"But none of us found it necessary to start a new thread with our name in the title."</font></i>
Zerlina, after you've been here 13 years dolling out expert travel advice for free, helping thousands upon thousands of first-time travelers, your name might acquire some significance. In the meantime, enjoy the inconsiderate rude factor you've just stamped to your name with that completely unnecessary post.

The hours that I have saved NOT being on this site the last couple days have afforded me more time with my famly, grocery shopping for our "big storm" coming in tonight, laundry, etc.
I am with Bob-DD and I are not happy with the whole layout of this site and how it works now. Our family uses Mozilla so never had a problem with speed but the "fun" of checking this site several times a day has now left.
I did my profile several days ago and have yet to find it?

sarastro: I'm going to take you up on your kind offer.
My computer is an iMAC and I've got both AOL and Mozilla Fox. I do very little with AOL nowadays but keep it because of the email address which has been given out to numerous friends. Access to Fodors is through Mozilla.
How do you enlarge the script the way you have described? I have to go up to "view" and then keep zooming until I can see the script. Do you just hold down the "control" key and then roll the scroll wheel?
How do you spell check while here on Fodors?
TIA for your help.

As someone posted earlier (I think on another thread), hold the control key and press the plus (+) key until the font is larger. That will only affect the page you are on rather than all browser sessions.
Firefox automatically checks spelling by underlining the misspelled word in red.

I didn't even read all of your replies.... just frustrated that the format has changed and so I will have to adapt to that. Dang. Technology. We'll all get with the new deal soon enough. I just hope we all keep traveling!

Bob, to me you are THE quintessential Fodors.com contributor. If you are not happy (as am I not pleased) with the new format, the powers that be should take notice. I so enjoy your comments and advice.
Just wondering – how was your 50th anniversary trip?

Ok, now I'm really bummed. I typed in the ubiquitous "prague" search and this is the post I got to research... I am definitely not happy. And, Bob, you're one of the best! But this is not the post I'm looking for. I'll try again and see what i come up with.
Dang technology.
